Katie Howell (University of Missouri, BS Music Ed) is currently the band director at Austin Catholic High School. She has previously taught beginning, middle and high school band, jazz band and marching band in Missouri, Colorado and Georgia.

 

As a flutist, she has performed in several pit orchestras, flute choirs and community bands and orchestras, most currently with the Birmingham Concert Band. In addition to flute, Katie plays piccolo, alto flute, alto and tenor saxophone and clarinet.

Katie is active with St John Vianney Church's music ministry along with her husband and five children.
